Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are chronic diseases and are the result of a combination of factors: genetic, physiological, environmental and behavioral.

Accounting for over 71% of all global deaths detection, screening, and treatment of NCDs, as well as palliative care, are key components to the response.

Blood Pressure Screenings

Strongest driver of cardiovascular disease is undiagnosed and untreated hypertension.

African Health Now offers free BP screenings and early diagnosis to hypertension and elevated blood pressures.

Primary Dental Care

African Health Now provides free dental screenings to help combat tooth decay and gum disease. Our dental teams teach participants about basic oral hygiene.

Breast Cancer Education

African Health Now provides free breast cancer screenings and education by teaching female participants how to conduct self-breast examinations. We also provide group sessions for both men and women that help demystify culture stereotypes associated with breast cancer.

Maternity Go Box

African Health Now provides free postpartum "maternity go boxes" to women participating in the Pregnancy School programs at Madina Polyclinic Kekele.

Each box includes necessary health and hygiene supplies needed to support mothers and their newborns during the first weeks.

African Health Now provides free health and nutrition education to mothers and all participants in an effort to help encourage healthier eating habits.

Diabetes Testing

African Health Now offers free diabetes screenings to help detect early stages of type 1 & type 2 diabetes. Our screenings are helping participants who are unable to afford the cost of daily testing an opportunity to know and understand their current levels and how they can be managed.
